She is clearly the only one using it. Phyllis lays my only white egg. No brown eggs there.Such a clever girl! It looks pretty protected too.
Is she the only one using it do you think?

She does have the knack for a great photo.DANG, Girl. Your mad photograph skills strike again!
That's wild how different it is.So strange. In California (where I am, north of Alex), it's so unseasonably cold my tomato plants are suffering. Awesome for chickens, but sucky for tomatoes. Tonight after work I changed into sweats, my nuclear hot Columbia puffer jacket and wool socks, and was perfectly comfortable outside. Crazy.
It's doubly secure from weather and predators by being inside the run. Very clever Bob.Rough Coop Drawings
I took some pictures and drew on them so you can get an idea of what the Polish Palace (I am open to name suggestions) will look like.
It will be built into the big run but will be elevated 16 inches or more above the run so I do not lose any run space.

I am considering a porch on the end and a window either opening into the run or out through the run looking at the other coop. The nest box will stick out through the run to add space.
I am considering a flat roof to give more up space for the ladies to go up. I want the long wall in the run to either be removable or drop down for easy cleaning.

As you can see I already have inspectors showing up to investigate my plans. I will be working square footage calculations today to determine the size and dimensions.
The main or original coop is only 16 inches high. I have raised this another 5 inches so it will be even closer to eye level. It's doubly secure from weather and predators by being inside the run. Very clever Bob.
How much will you need to bend down to see inside? It looks lower than the original coop.
Could be the heat. A night in the house might be very good for her.![]()

She did sleep for 9 hours, and woke up when I did. I'm trying to get her to eat something.Could be the heat. A night in the house might be very good for her.![]()

I have "Fix a chick" vitamin water mix.x2 heat could definitely be affecting her and being inside might be helpful. Do you happen to have any pedialyte or even gatorade on hand? Straight pedialyte or diluted gatorade can help if it's a heat issue.
I would suggest you have it at a comfortable height for you to check on them and to clean out. Save your back! Of course , then you would need a longer ramp, or one with a landing and return.Better Coop Plans
I have translated the photo drawings to graph paper and sent them on to my engineer for working up. Here are the graph paper drawings for your perusal. Please feel free to make any and all suggestions that pop into your head.

I always feels like a bumbling paparazzi chasing my girls around with a camera. They look so offended.Popcorn. Trying to get a Monday mugshot, I followed her around. First trying for straight-on
