Now, I don't know if this is going to work or not, but we are going to try to give the chicks to Henrietta later. Even though she abandoned the eggs, she still has the broody cluck and attitude. We caught her yesterday afternoon and placed her in a egg crate beside the incubator and covered her over. She could easily have jumped out but she's sat the entire time listening to the chicks in the incubator and has talked to them a few times. We will be right there and ready when we give her a chick to intervene if too much time has passed and she rejects them. It would be the absolute best scenario though if she accepts them as her own, which they are.
I am praying that this works!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to share a few things:
• My blood pressure is down WITHOUT meds while on break. I think I need to find balance when I go back to the office.
• Ruby had s good day!
• Dorothy laid a shelled egg yesterday.
• I had quality time with my son yesterday, daughter today, and worked out for the first time in over a year today.

Umm… me being home seems to be good for everyone. I think I need to find balance next school year.
That's great to hear, thank you for sharing. :clap
I hope you find a good balance too. :hugs

I cleared it up for her, not too uncommon a phrase down in Ol’ Gtown after a big night when describing how you are feeling 😅
I found the sound clip from the "Aunty Jack sings Wollongong" album if anyone is interested in 1970's Aussie humour.

It's Gary McDonald (Norman Gunston) speaking .

I'll be very interested in hearing how the re-introduction goes Rebecca.

I would like to introduce chicks to one of my girls if/when they go broody and it is time to expand the flock but I was worried about how to do it for the chicks safety. I will be learning at your feet Sensei. :bow
