My eldest lived on reruns of Sesame Street as a toddler and she had an American accent for the longest time.

If I were to get some silkies in the future I'd build them their own garden with a coop inspired by Chinese architecture and maybe some artful stonework too

I think a Phoenix would also look rather fetching in that sort of set up.

Comissions will be available after the coop gets finished, but here is my rendition of what I believe a safety chicken would look like.

Today was a very beautiful day. Sunshiney with a high blue sky and scudding clouds. However, there was a very strong, blustery wind.

When I went out to find the girls they were all huddled in the south west corner of the run sitting on one of the garden tyres. Except for Alice.

Alice was sitting down snuggly in one of the empty tyres. The tyre came up to her shoulder and the wall of the tyre would block some of the wind as well as retain heat from the sun.

What a clever girl!

I didn't have my phone on me and my attempts to recreate the scene this afternoon met with less success than I would have hoped!

I've just seen a mouse and the girls seem comfortable with it's presence. This is really weird and a problem I need to learn to deal with
