RIP Dorothy, at least she didn't suffer for very long. Condolences to you, @micstrachan , I'm so sorry for her loss, and for the stress of all this. I wish we could all be there to comfort you and help take care of Ruby too!
I’m saddened, and very sorry for your loss. I don’t understand what happen, other than that she got sick quite quickly.
Hmmmmm, I’m quite certain this isn’t bug related... just from my observation... not that yours isn’t but I know mines not... but thank you for your thoughts on thisThe Buckeyes do it and I see them looking up too, watching something. I believe it's a small flying insect, at least I have seen this once or twice when I've seen the insect they're watching, once a small fly and once a gnat. I think that's why their step is very unpredictable, they are tracking the bug. But I've seen them do it when I can't tell what they're tracking. Another clue is they've only done this since Spring or Summer. So if they keep doing it in Winter there would have to be another explanation.
She had been having laying issues for some time.I’m saddened, and very sorry for your loss. I don’t understand what happen, other than that she got sick quite quickly.
I’m so sorry Michele! I’m sure she had a full and happy life with you... hugs to you
Thanks for the info. She had been having laying issues for some time.
Did you give her anything to boost her energy? This morning was rather scary. We found Platina fallen over by the waterer cold. We warmed her up and cleared her pasty bum. Since being cleaned off she's doing a bit better.
