Pretty sure it is not investigative.
If I turn around she draws herself up tall and puffs her chest out and lunges at me. So it feels like dominance. But she is also afraid of me because if I am standing in the doorway she is hesitant to come out while everyone else happily squeezes past me and mingles around my legs.

If she were a dog I would think it was fear aggression.
Do you think she is trying to drive you away?

I miss him.

I do as well. He could spin quite a tale about his tribes and he was a wealth of knowledge. Without him and @CrazyChookChookLady I could never have gotten through Sydney's hatch last year.

Yes. That is what I feel.
I need more one on one time with treats to win her around. She is perfectly fine hanging around me when I sit in the yard with everyone else milling around. And that day I fell asleep in the run she didn’t peck my eyes out, but she definitely wants to move me on out of there if she can!
Neither of the Roadrunners squat for me whereas all the older Princesses do. Somehow I am not an authority figure to the Roadrunners!

You might want to post your turkey stuff over on @Ribh thread. There is an experienced turkey keeper (rjohns) that follows her thread. Most all of us also read over there so we won't miss them. He is a good guy. I'm sure he could help you if needed
