Re: extra eggs

When eldest visits, I send him home with eggs. Hubby regularly gives them away at work. We thank the neighbors for not complaining about the noise with eggs. Have given to the mail carrier, show up armed with a dozen every dinner invite as a host thank you. I've even grabbed ppl I see regularly on my dog walks to come in and collect eggs

When all of that still leaves us with too many, we make Dutch baby pancakes. add a little butter and fresh lemon and blueberries - divine!
(You can also put on powdered sugar, but that is too sweet for my liking)

I am beginning to understand my place in the tribe.
Minnie will squat for Maggie but not for me.
What with that and Dotty trying to chest bump me and pulling out the feathers on the backs of my legs I think I have lost all semblance of being in charge in any way!

I had one incident where I was putting one and another rushed up out of nowhere to attack the chicken of my affections. Not just a little peck...a premeditated manslaughter attempt (only a slight exaggeration)
I stood up and bumped my shins against the hooligan's chest. She backed down and we haven't had an aggressive attempt to that degree again.

Understanding that Dotty is a special bird, are there other dominant moves a person can do to set the order right?

I vote frittata. They are delicious and take a lot of eggs.

All this talk of frittata made me hungry and I hadn't had breakfast so I am going all in on frittata - bacon, onion, grape tomatoes and zucchini. It really doesn't get much better than that for breakfast!
