Jabber did. All the time! I beleive that is one of the reasons the neighbor filed the complaint against him.

Jaffar only crows from 4:45 am pst. And all day as he wishes, until sundown. He doesn’t pull all-nighters (but I do sometimes)

Oh trust there will be drama for observation!
To be clear the auto door would be for coop/run purposes. Letting out into the yard would remain manual.

To further clarify...hubby is building a big new coop (really a shed size 8x8 with 8 ft walls) and we are expanding the run to be 26' across the back of the garage. A huge increase from their 9' run.

There are some mornings that being up at 5am is rough. And now that travel is picking back up for work, we need to have some options for the girls in the event I have an early flight before they would be awake.

That's one of the reasons we got ours. That and Mrs BY Bob's complaints about how cold it was in the winter mornings going out to release them into the run.

Is your coop door battery solar or electric,? I really would love on for the winter

The Ador can be battery or solar operated. I use the battery. I only replace it once a year, I think.

And I'm going to have to wait; a family member of my session guitarist is very ill with Covid and of course that takes precedence. I hope the family member gets better.

Also one of babies fell asleep in the door when she was little, and the door has a function where if it touches a block, it’ll stop and try again in a few minutes, and so on. Obviously, she was just fine

Don't worry, I have this issue quite often, you just have to close your eyes and hold your ground. Cats respect that, they do it themselves all the time!

I have been watching Sydney and Phyllis for signs of molting. Phyllis lost 3 feathers while grooming with me yesterday but that could be post broody. I found a Sydney tail feather yesterday so I'm watching her as well but no one is dropping a ton of feathers yet so no wholesale molting at this point. Mine usually hold off until September to molt.

Princess and amber has lost a couple of feathers this week
