I was guessing that your pecking order was similar to that. I have 3 feeders so everyone can eat without being bothered by the others. In your case I would also have 2 feeders. I support that change.
I have two feeders and two waterers plus an extra of each for when they are out in their chicken yard. I am thinking of adding a third - not because there is much bickering over food or water but just because I think they like having a choice. Diana sometimes eats from one and then runs to the second one and eats again. Same food of course!

I like this. I have multiples spread around the yard for when they are free ranging, or in the run when they are "cooped up".

Exactly. I also have the 'terrifying black rubber feed bowls' where I give them their frozen Kefir. They only seem to be terrified of them when they are empty - they rush right up when there is food in them.
Funny that!

I cannot tell you how much I hate meetings that are not well run and involve ppl that have better things to do.
X2
Our meetings are mostly well run, but we have someone who MUST weigh in on EVERY topic and fills in LOTS of extra words. I thought it was just zoom behavior, but now it’s happening in person, too. Drives me bonkers.

Yes! I saw her take several out last night while preening. This now was great to see, it didn't appear there was anything loose on her at all and then feathers suddenly flying out in all directions. 😲
I watched Phyllis do that on Monday. She just pulled them out while preening.

Friends, my Drummie is gone. I finally feel better and go outside armed with a big box of raisins to restart our morning routine and I'm greeted with a pile of feathers. Rooster feathers. The trail led to the creek but I've looked everywhere and there is no body. At first I was not sure if it was Basil or Drumstick that I was looking for but after calling for a minute Basil came running to me. I want to be hopeful that I will find him, but, there is a lot of feathers and my heart is shattered. Basil is also doing something this morning that I can not take as a good sign that I will find him. He's crowing. Before this morning for the last week he's only let out 1 crow before coming off the roost and has been silent the rest of the day, if there was a crow to be heard it was Drumsticks. Today, he has not shut up, every 30 minutes he's taking a crowing spell almost like he's calling for his dad. This is not the first time i've lost a chicken or chick, but today, this hurts differently. My friend is gone.
