Well, I just got a phone call I was no longer expecting to get. The blue Marans hens I was supposed to get almost 2 months ago. They will be here tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit I dabbled with the idea of slytherin in my youth but the sorting hat can’t be argued with

Hehe. And I'll admit I have definite Ravenclaw tendencies. But the sorting hat takes our desires into account, and so a Slytherin I've always been.

Let us just be very clear. Goats running and jumping are adorable in any setting.
This is one of my go-to videos to cheer me up if I am ever down in the dumps.

I don't know if your a baker or not, but everything tastes better if you you fresh eggs in your recipe. Through the holidays me and mom made about 10 New York style cheesecakes, numerous cookies and pumpkin rolls only using my fresh eggs. You could tell a difference, especially with the cheesecakes, they are so much better with fresh eggs instead of store bought ones. The first time we made them we tested it out, made one with store bought and one with fresh....family voted, fresh from now on.

Ok, I don't know if it was a fluke or not when my brother saw the hawks the other day, but, I am now 100% convinced it was not a hawk that is killing my chickens. I know this because the culprit went after squirrel a hour and a half ago. Huge bold coyote. It came off the hill and ran right by me before I even knew what was happening. It missed, only because I grabbed the hoe and gave chase while screaming for my dad to get outside with the gun. It ran back up on the hill but that is ok, set out bait in the back yard and me and mom are outback waiting. With a loaded shotgun. It will be back, not only has it got my chickens I've found out 3 of my neighbors have lost outside cats. Now that the culprit is known, everyone is on watch. And when you have to scream for a gun, you learn how many neighbors have guns, 2 of my neighbors beat my dad outside with a gun as they had witnessed the attempted attack. One way or another, it will be taken care of.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a coyote that got my ducks either because we do have them in the neighborhood. The only thing that gives me pause is the duck I found headless because a coyote would have just carried it off. Good luck on getting the bugger.
