Oh such fun! :love :love
Sept 16th is a great one. I love them all of course - but that is a wonderful picture. Their coloring is really pretty.
How are your introduction steps going?

I can add Sept 2nd to the start of the series. Not good photos - I was waaay too nervous.

my chick is really dirty. There are a lot of food stuck to its wings and his legs have alot of dirt and food together stuck under.should I give him a bath?if I should then how?pls help
As several people have said the people on this thread are not quail experts. But if it is a young chick I would not give it a bath as it will get chilled and that is very dangerous for young chicks.
What are you feeding them that they get food stuck? Mostly if you keep their brooder clean with nice clean bedding then they shouldn't get too dirty - maybe a bit of poop on a foot now and then.
I would dry clean the chick if it is really bad with a dry cloth.
I would also ask on the quail forums and be very specific about the age of the quail, the nature of the problem etc.

You can also try putting just a bit of oil in the ACV water, too Sometimes that helps 'lubricate' things for it to go either 'up' (if you are trying to get them to expel it), or 'down'.

I have no experience with Turkeys, but with a hen, I used a little ACV H2O with a bit of olive oil, and a few drops of peppermint essential oil (peppermint is an anti-fungal). I didn't intubate, but used a syringe of the mixture (carefully), then massaged the crop gently with the hen upside down (ish)....laying on lap( belly up/back against legs) with head hanging down over legs pointed to ground so no aspiration. I was able to get her to 'regurgitate' some very foul smelling stuff.[Note: it took a few tries throughout the day before the successful expellation] I then continued with ACV H2O with chicken pedialyte & vitamins powder mixed in for a couple of days (I had her separated...and her only water choice was the mix for a couple of days)

This is my ONLY experience (once) and it worked for me, but it may just have been that I was lucky. :idunno
Thank you! I don't know for sure if it's sour crop, because Blossom doesn't have any odor to her breath. Did your hen have any smell to her breath?

I’m sorry, precisely u didn’t understand maybe I did pay heed to them
Saying they’re not quail experts. It’s a young chick. And after your suggestion have tried hard to clean it gently using a dry cloth. It didn’t work. The last thing to do was wash its feet and wipe it using a wet cloth.I did.It seems ok now. She’s acting precisely normal😞
