Yeah, it was pretty brazen. I’m not sure how it would have gone without Lexi the dog’s help.
They do not fear me and I assume the same would be true for you. Now the dog is another matter. Can you keep Lexi out when they are free ranging?
 
Talking hawks. I've seen one hanging around here lately. I used to go run and get my hens in when they came around. Had some pretty brazen ones fly right close while I was out there. The Cooper hawk is the worst.
I've had red tailed hawks fly right by my head. They simply do not fear me.

Oh, yes. Lexi always out when the free range. But sometimes she’ll come whimper at the door out if sight of hawks if I go inside to take care of something.
 
Awwww .. .. .. they both have some pretty slick hopping and flapping moves!
When are they going into their big house?
I'm anticipating moving them out to their coop in about a week and a half.

The others are really giving Phyllis a tough time at roosting. This may play out to help me to move her roosting spot more easily. We shall see.
