Interesting! Now the only question is whether they get stung by the nettles and my duck memory suggests that they will be fine. @Shadrach can focus on the bindweed which may require the joint forces of the chickens and bucket boy to destroy!

Thanks for the update. We Have him Back Home
I have delivered my son in law to his bed. I will try to catch up tomorrow Everyone. Good night.
I once ate vegetable and nettle soup it was delicious.Well they have lots of calcium and magnesium so it wouldn't surprise me if they were good for chickens. They are good for people too - once they are wilted they don't sting and people make tea, soup or just use them as 'greens'.
Ouch, those injuries hurt! I hope he heals quickly and as pain-free as possible. You are doing a good thing. Take care of yourself too!It is coming fast enough. Life has thrown me a curve and I will not be home for the several days. This will delay completion of the Cluckle Hut and their movement out. As well as I will lose time with them.
My son in law fractured his tibia in the surf out on the outer banks in NC. His leg is immobilized and non weight bearing. I am now helping to get him back home to Detroit. That's a journey of nearly 1,000 miles. We completed 4 hours yesterday. While my daughter tends to him, I will be driving.
I will be an infrequent poster while we drive. Please behave yourselves.
