Woah, it's not Monday!
Thank you, AC. I actually moved her to a carrier with pine shavings right beside me, because when I shifted my weight, it made her drool more. I feared my thigh might be pressing on her crop. I periodically reached in, gently pet her, reminded her I loved her and I was right there. She continued to decline rapidly and passed beside me with her flock/tribe around her. She did flap violently right after she passed, as they often do. I feel like a coward, but I did my best to comfort her up until the end, and I might have been a bit traumatized if she flapped in my lap.I'm so sorry Michelle.
You did everything humanly possible for her. I'm glad she was able to be comforted in your arms as she passed.
Um, RUN FROM, not 'follow! And in case they like football, here are some teams they can follow:
Eagles

Seahawks
You got olive eggs from your Polish rooster?![]()
How about Penthesilea, or Pentha for short? An Amazon Queen/warrior.Joan (of Arc), Saint Joan, Boedicia, Hildegard, Isolde, Brunhilda...
How are you holding up? I remember every one, and every situation when they died in my arms. (I never forget it)Thank you, AC. I’m ok. Thanks for asking, Alex. She didn’t actually die in my arms, and I feel guilty about that. She was in my arms up until about 15 or 20 minutes before she died. How are you holding up? I remember every one, and every situation when they died in my arms. (I never forget it)![]()

The truth is, I’m still having little crying episodes (like right now), but I’ll be ok.
Again, a blast from the past.If you check my signature line I wrote an article on the egg song. You can find out more there. It is an escort call for a hen that is separated from ther flock. She is calling to the roster ro come get her. Here is the link.

Poor Nyssa,It’s spa day!
@Shadrach got me thinking about daily bathing, and I felt so sorry for the girls cooped up in quarantine. So I filled a box with dirt I had recently dug up. It took them a bit of investigating (River even found a worm!) but they got there. I say ‘they’; Nyssa hasn’t been allowed to have a turn yet.
