Her molt is nearly done. She is eating like normal and getting after treats like normal as well. In glad she is almost done.

In other news, Lilly has started her molt and it seems that that Aurora has as well. Sansa and and Sydney are still deep in molt. Sansa is over 2 months now and still standoffish and eating differently.

Tis the season! Bridge seems to molt for half the year, I swear. It’s slow and somewhat steady.

The more I see of these poor hens the more angry I get at how this has ever been allowed to happen. It's not just the Red Sex Links; the Legbars are just as badly bred.

Say more. I was so hoping by getting Legbars I was out of that production breed world.

I received the saddest news today. I may or may not have had my favorite pollet chai die, she was let out of her cage without my knowledge (while I was away). When I got home I was told that she had been missing for several hours, when typically she wouldn’t be more than 10 feet from her mother who is always around. I looked all over the place. And although there is hope, I seem to have lost it.

So sorry.

Movie is over. I put Jaffar in with Arizona and Dakota in the chickens room. I bet I hear some noise from them early tomorrow morning. (Concerned that Jaffar’s breathing is a little rough tonight) hopefully he’s okay.
