Determined to solve the mystery I checked up on them every few hours. I found this.

I waited for an hour, watching the scratching and panting until she sat up. Beneath her was a 30gram lily green egg.

I think she's stopped laying because she decided to sit. Luckily she breaks as soon as her eggs are removed.

Those sure are some pretty looking birds, Bob.

I really really like their look. They are sleek with lower wings and large tails, hold their heads high. Add in that candy corn coloring and they are just beautiful ladies.

They are shaped very much like my beloved leghorns.
