I don’t think I will ever finish my drainage project with all the help I am getting.
At the top of the picture you can see the end of the pipe that I want to connect to.
And down the picture you can see my trenching shovel with Diana being helpful. Guiding the shovel maybe.:idunno

I managed about 3’ of ditch that way with no injuries to Diana. Then she carefully filled in the ditch I had dug and went for a rest on my chair.
:th

I honestly think I will have to lock them in if I am to finish before the ground freezes.

I came to a similar conclusion about any digging work on the allotment.

In non Fluffy Butt Acres cases, when does picking on usually stop or at least cool down? Shirina is relentless when it comes to chasing Platina around.
At some point after they all start laying. Eggs can affect the pecking order. Sometimes there's an "illness" that the pecking on is protecting the rest by driving away the sick bird. Sometimes it's as simple as "I don't like you!"

After reading the article a friend shared with me (several years ago so no idea where it's got off to), a light came on. it would explain things like Midnight Mass, babies/toddlers persisting in 1 middle of the night feeding, the urge to check the house to make sure everything is kosher, add a log to the fire, check the animals. as long as your total amount of sleep is meeting your needs, it doesn't really matter if it's "interrupted" as long as it's better quality than a series of 20 min naps. I don't think I've slept entirely through the night more than a handful of times since. I'm also relaxed about it (stress does a number on your sleep too).Based upon the article, it wasn't uncommon for people to leave the house for a couple of hours, visit with the neighbors, have a bite to eat, read for a while (prayer/meditation included) before going back to bed for 2nd sleep.

You're in an area with minimal outside lights (street lights and such). Your body is likely trying to fall into those rhythms anyway.

I saw the same article and it relieved me of worrying about sleep. Now I just get up for a while and nod of again without too much bother.

I am trying to take care (mainly by holding on to walls and door frames!).
It is a recognized issue called B.P.P.V. Not uncommon as it turns out. Small crystals in the labyrinth of the inner ear break off and free float triggering the sense that you are moving when you aren't. So your feet tell you one thing and your ears another and as a result, your brain gets all messed up.
Sometimes it resolves on its own because the crystals basically dissolve and there is a series of movements you can try (or your doctor can do to you) that attempts to shift the little b***ers to some other place where they do less harm. It is extremely unpleasant to do because it triggers the vertigo in the worst possible way.
I have done it once and it was pretty effective - meaning I can now get in and out of bed more-or-less OK, and as long as I move slowly I can walk around normally and yesterday I was able to bend down to the right to pick up a chicken. Don't ask me to put a sock on my left foot or lace up a left boot however!
The maneuver leaves me exhausted and unsteady so I am waiting a day or so before trying again.
Sorry for definitely TMI on my decrepitude, so here is chicken tax of my three older ladies engaged in some serious chicken business. Rest In Peace Elizabeth.View attachment 2891670
I really hope this eases soon. I've been dizzy but not for the same reasons, it's an awful sickening feeling

I hope your doctor can help ease this with you. I read up on these crystals, darn things :(

Please don't move around until you feel safe :hugs

I have to say I do often do 2 sleeps when I don’t have a schedule imposed on me.
I always thought I was weird. But maybe it is some version of normal.
I'm waking up after a few hours which is really peculiar for me and apparently my neighbour is having the same trouble.

I'll have to look into catching more sleep somehow. Its mentally damaging not to sleep enough

My whole day turned into a big pile of butt grass! :th
Jaffar has scaly mites (and I can’t catch him to help)
Rocks-Anne has a bloody leg and won’t let me near her either.
The Lexus battery is dead (I charged it, but still dead)
🙁
Good use of "Butt Grass". I'm sorry for all the other troubles. :hugs
