Start engineering: the solar panel powered thingy, rigged to nerf gun, with a motion sensor light thing set to pull the trigger..., set up several at assorted angles for individual FIRE if something large enough to set it off swoops in...
I love it. Maybe I need to really start getting creative. 🤔

Sounds like an improvement..even if she isn't eating as much as you would like :)❤️

I had a mostly white hen with a few smattering of pale brown feather tips become darker/much more brown each molt. Now she is more brown than white! (at 3.5 years old). She may be getting darker coloring naturally as she ages. Not sure about the grey patch, on her chest though, but it looks cute!🥰
It is adorable! :love

After reading the article a friend shared with me (several years ago so no idea where it's got off to), a light came on. it would explain things like Midnight Mass, babies/toddlers persisting in 1 middle of the night feeding, the urge to check the house to make sure everything is kosher, add a log to the fire, check the animals. as long as your total amount of sleep is meeting your needs, it doesn't really matter if it's "interrupted" as long as it's better quality than a series of 20 min naps. I don't think I've slept entirely through the night more than a handful of times since. I'm also relaxed about it (stress does a number on your sleep too).Based upon the article, it wasn't uncommon for people to leave the house for a couple of hours, visit with the neighbors, have a bite to eat, read for a while (prayer/meditation included) before going back to bed for 2nd sleep.

You're in an area with minimal outside lights (street lights and such). Your body is likely trying to fall into those rhythms anyway.

Dr Karl on Australian radio station Triple J has spoken a few times about how sleep in a full eight-hour block is a fairly recent thing.

Be careful @RoyalChick first there was Alex and now our Bob :th
Boots protect your ankles. They don't necessarily need socks.

mumble mumble......I am not communicating effectively today..........🤦‍♂️

I place Volt in the bag, hang the straps over my shoulder and walk to and from the allotment with her like this. I wouldn't say she is over impressed and she has stuck her head over the top a couple of times telling me to walk slower if I'm going to jiggle her about at the current speed.
I'm just waitng to get stopped by the police and asked what's in the bag.
