Enhancing and Developing Solutions

A Possible Solution

First, I came up with some temporary protection for when the littles free range. I haven't used this since my oldest daughter played Jr Olympic softball. This should help a little.

It extends the cover from the garden around to the Magnolia tree. That should help a little.

An Enhancement
The first decorations are on the Cluckle Hut.

This is an Enhancement and a Solution

The Phyllistines are on their roost tonight.

I love this and am happy about the new roost, but I am fearful about how close they are to the hardware cloth when I see the putside-in picture. It looks large sized. It can't be though, is it 1/2 inch or smaller? Maybe the camera makes it look big. A weasel can't reach through it, can it? Sorry for the worry!

That's terrible. It feels wrong that you should lose money when they did not deliver what you purchased. That's not right.
I had already paid for the work to be done so that's why I lost so much. Now the person that was going too do the job can no longer be connected. I'm seriously worried how I can get it done before the weather gets bad.

The guy is honest but had problems with his accommodation I think he may have had to leave the area

I place Volt in the bag, hang the straps over my shoulder and walk to and from the allotment with her like this. I wouldn't say she is over impressed and she has stuck her head over the top a couple of times telling me to walk slower if I'm going to jiggle her about at the current speed.
I'm just waitng to get stopped by the police and asked what's in the bag.

Dotty strongly disagrees with the description ‘damaged’.
Even Minnie (who might actually be damaged) is not keen on that moniker and drew herself up to full height and flaunted her single tail feather while telling me so.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think they can be lovely looking hens. I've yet to see a rooster.
I feel very sorry for them. It's not their fault like with many human led genetic experiments they have been at the mercy of greedy money grabbing retards who think what the chicken world needs is yet another (aww she's so purdy) breed that will probably die in one third of a healthy chickens lifespan.
The legbars at the allotment are one such example. They are the ones the "breder" tossed out because they didn't look quite like what she wanted.:he

She looks comfy enough though. Good solution.

Interesting (and sad). I chose them precisely because they have not been bred to be egg or meat machines. They don’t lay very often - though in early spring they did go a bit nuts.
I wonder if it is just the breeder you got those from.
Anyway, fingers crossed for those of us who have them that they lead long and happy lives
