They grow up so fast!
You're making those days comfortable for her in chicken ways she's never experienced.I don't believe she will. I expect to be posting that it is finally over for her in a couple of days time.
I love watching them sprint from thing to thing as well as watching them graze across the yard like cows mowing the grass.Yes. Though I am feeling sanguine about Diana as long as I can make sure she doesn't suffer at the end. She is an amazingly happy chicken. I know that sounds silly but she really is full of joie de vivre - and of course she doesn't know what will likely happen over time. Meanwhile it is hard to imagine a chicken that lives a fuller life. She is always chasing moths and Roadrunners and me for treats. She is just very energetic and into everything (hence my trench digging issues). It is Fall and leaves come down from the sky and when they land she goes and scratches them to pieces. Busy busy!
All the girls love the roosts. They’ve never slept anywhere else. This thought occurred to me too, so after they were all settled down I gently set her on the roosts. I came back about 10 minutes later and she was back in the box, with blood dripping from her comb.Don't be surprised if she isn't choosing the nest box. Mine frequently sleep there while molting by choice.
I can't wait to get one!It has proven to be a bit of a success as a chicken transport method. It's easier to walk with than a pet carrier, she doesn't roll about in it either. No problem with air flow. The only feature it's missing is a way of keeping the rain out.
I'll be marketing bags similar to the prototype in a few days. Do keep an eye out on Amazon for Shadrachs chicken tote bags.![]()
You should apologize for firing me up.Sorry Bob. I'll try not to write any more relevant to chickens posts. I do my best to keep the content to something people might want to discuss, or even have an oppsoing opinion about.
What I suggest is you visit the threads where the conversation doesn't require more than a couple of words to answer. I'm sure you know the main contenders. If not drop me a PM and I'll link you up to a few of the low content and even less intelligence threads that you could probably participate on with just a mobile phone with predictive text and spell check switched on.![]()
You've got proof at your place, too! They grow up so fast!
I'm surprised she doesn't have one already.Well I don't know. You lot on that side of the pond do some pretty weird stuff.![]()
Their tail feather shape is the most obvious. The raven has a kind of V while the crow doesn't.Alright, let’s get this settled once and for all: what is the difference between a Raven and a Crow (bedsides the obvious “Nevermore” the Raven says)![]()
