I do remember your Minnie, but had forgotten specifically that she had ataxia. Early this morning Maggie got a full day's dose of B complex along with selenium and other vitamins and minerals.
I will try repeating that again every day over the next few days.
:fl
Good plan! :thumbsup

An old mouse carcass?
Well played! But no mice in the Chicken Palace since last year. I am watching closely!!
The closest thing to anything rotten I found today was the shell of a pumpkin which I have now removed.

An old blueberry, apple core, raisin, even and old piece of chicken food. It would not have to be a large piece. The wet weather would aid in the rotting process.
Oh really! I guess it is impossible to rule something that small out entirely. It is very dry under the covered runs, but it is true the pumpkin was rotting rather than dessicating.
Hmmm. I do so hope you are right.

Thanks, Bob! That looks very secure! I love that the curtain has grommets. Brilliant! I used clear vinyl tablecloths and staples, which might not be very secure. 🤣
That looks like a union meeting to me. How about you @RoyalChick

Its great they could have some range time with you watching over them.
When you mentioned Aurora moving up in the order my first thought was her sentinel job and not warning the others in time could be a factor.
It’s very interesting.
I really wonder if that is not it. Or if she just gave it up over the hawk. It feels like it is related in some way. Who knows though?

Definitely. I think @micstrachan had better shape up in terms of basic conditions. I imagine regular snacks and dustbathing time will be just the starting point for negotiations!

I shouldn’t laugh because I am really very worried about her, but Maggie’s balance is a bit like riding a bicycle.
She seems to be able to stay upright when moving at speed. But moving slowly and executing a turn at low speed seems to be quite challenging!

She is definitely no worse, and the optimist in me says she is better, but I think objectively she is about the same.
Being about the same is probably on balance good news as it means whatever it is isn't rapidly rampaging through her brain and nervous system.
I also managed to observe her closely and she isn't suffering any kind of generalized brain issue - she is alert, she is accurate in her aim for a bug or a sunflower seed (or a Roadrunner for that matter!), and she is interested in her surroundings.
The all important surviving instints. :love

Amber knows exactly where every crumb drops and always there first :)
