Maybe they said that because you interrupted their union meeting, where they were going to discuss the changes THEY wanted in the coop before presenting them to you? :gig
You might be correct. I should never have let them form that union to begin with! But I told them what changes I plan to make (and that’s that!) :plbb

If this is about them being on strike (no eggs) I am willing to negotiate! Desperate to resolve the issues! :bow

If I've understoof Bob right the feed he is giving doesn't contain any calcium (?)
The current feed contains 1% calcium. At 100 grams of feed per day she is getting 1g from the chick feed. A laying hen should get 4 to 5 grams per day. If I use a laying hen that should be more than a non laying hen needs and still be below toxic levels. So with simple math I need to supply her with 3 to 4 grams. I'm going to shoot for 4 grams.

Now it becomes what to use as my source of calcium.

Be careful, they might go on strike -- wait, they already have! :lau

It feels to me like there has been a row. Harsh words have been said and everyone is sulking.
Nobody is roosting close to anyone else.
Maggie took herself off to a nest box without even trying the roost. Diana got ‘her’ spot by the wall. Minnie is on the other roost by the camera and Dotty is technically sharing a roost with Diana but making it very clear there will be no snuggling.
I am not used to this. Normally they all snuggle together in a very strictly managed order on the big roost.
It all looks a bit sad and lonely to me.

Mine have been constantly shifting locations on the roost recently as well. Most times someone or multiple someones is roosting alone.

I would be too. Let's hear what their proposals are. Maybe a lot line up with what you already want to do...
They want too much.
-10 ft fence enclosed run
-totally covered aviary roof
-automatic scratch dispenser
-unlimited access to the can of meally worms.
-unrestrained access to my TSC credit account.
(Too much) :barnie
