this obviously isnt as exciting for everyone else as for me, but im pretty happy because its another milestone.
so, recently little Isbe has laid her first egg (a few minutes ago actually haha) and its a nice size! (2.05 OZ) with a nice cream color, this is a milestone for me because ive had her for like 6-7 months (sense egg) and darling she already was laying at the other house before i got her, so it wasnt to suprising although it was quite cool! But boy did she look shocked when it plopped out! Was a bit sad because it didnt even land in the nest haha View attachment 2936489
That first egg from your hen is a special moment no matter what. Congratulations! :clap:clap:clap

Hi folks! H’ve been busy working, prepping for Christmas and entertaining a house guest (SIL, who is great), and am behind. I hope all is well! Have I missed anything big?
Nice to have you back. Alex was in the hospital for a but but he's back home. Maggie has improved. What else am I missing everyone?

Thanks, Bob! I think I’m up to date on both those things. Now we’re doing an overnight at a little hotel we love that is on the beach and lets us bring our dog. Neighbor was going to lock up chickens and let them out in the morning.

These people, the doctors and nurses are trying to help you, maybe even saving your life. The nursing staff in particular work long stressful hours for not nearly enough pay. They put up with all sorts of verbal abuse and physical abuse day in day out when all they are trying to do is make people well again.
If I were you seeing as you are apparently a wealthy man I would buy them a vary large bunch of flowers and give them as many eggs as you've got by way of apprecaition for the thankless work they undertake.

Lecture over.
I really empathize with medical staff at the moment. They are certainly overworked and underpaid.

When my Mum died almost 3 years ago my siblings and I brought them a lovely "bouquet" of chocolates the next day as a thank you for how kind and thoughtful they had been.

There were things they did that I didn't like or thought they could do better but it's a tough job that I wouldn't want to do and I appreciate their effort.
