Those Drop Bears are sneaky little critters. They rummage through your clothes and eat the hidden chocolates before anyone notices they're there!

You got that right! I never see them until all my chocolate is gone! They even eat the macadamia nuts

Bat-crap crazy describes her to a T when she has chicks younger then 5 weeks old. Do NOT make eye contact with her or even look at them without being prepared for a beating. She is maybe 2lbs of terror. Her 2nd group of chicks she literally flew in my then almost 3 year old stallions face because he tried to look at her chicks that were in his stall. Poor Dirt didn't know what hit him. You would have thought though that he would hate chickens after that, but he loves them, they get on his back when he's down napping and lets them eat his grain out of his trough if they choose to. He's also twice had a hen go broody and build their nests just outside the back corner of his stall with the hens in touching distance. Both times he's guarded those nest and wouldn't let anything near the girls.

...and now it +1C - it's like that this winter, rollercoaster weather!

My chickies might go outside today, if only to hang out on the manure pile. The heat from the decomposing manure keeps their feet warm I am sure!

When I use the tinfoil hat, I don’t find a single Drop Bear in my shower (Ever)

Found the wagtail nest; it’s in the avocado tree! I’ve tried taking a pic of mummy wagtail in the nest but she keeps flying off.

Awesome! Jealous u have an avocado tree . Though I guess I should be happy with my peach trees (which I am!), I learnt that chickens LOVE peaches and a bonus if the peach is covered in Japanese beetles
