Tobacco will grow very well in PA, we had a thriving tobacco industry here in southern and central Ontario, my neighbour has one of those old tobacco barns in factTobacco plants may very well provide hawk shelter for the girls....just not sure how well they'd do in PA.

Someone came by to lay her egg but she was not impressed with the food dish being so close to her latest nest. She left without sitting down.

Meanwhile at the main coop, everyone pulled out onto the porch. Aurora even got onto the ramp but no one would go down onto the ground. There is snow down there.

The tobacco plant would make great hiding places the leaves are huge and would provide excellent cover! In fact I think I will see about growing some here for cover and interest![]()

I had a stampeed of chickies wanting to get in the feedroom this morning where it's nice and warmI broke down, went to the coop and asked “does anyone want to come inside with me?” I waited for a minute, and Coco jumped down on my shoulder. So she gets to stay inside with us nice warm and cozy! Coco is on my chest right now, strangling me.
