The first picture looks identical to now - slightly hexagonal. The second picture looks round.
I think it may be an optical illusion.
Try taking pics of the other hens’ eyes to compare.
You may be right. Or maybe hexagonal is normal. It’s the oblong one I was concerned about.

It turns out I’m the world’s worst photographer, as hardly any photos are super clear up close, but some pupils might be ever so slightly hexagonal. Here are a few pics of other hens’ eyes. Who knew one could obsess over chicken pupils so much!

Oh trust me, I will be just as obsessed! As soon as I can safely get out there (need some more ice melt for that to happen) I will be subjecting all my ladies to eye photos!
