hi im now building a coop that is 8X8 here is the floor that's all i have gotten done so far

Looks good. Do you have pictures of a plan? I love looking at construction plans!

The big girls have made it through weather this cold before in the big coop. It is too cold for a frizzle for sure.

I do that too.

I've noticed Mary uses a soft bok to ask Janet where she is and Janet responds with a peep peep. So I've started using those words too.

Whereas Nyssa winds up like an air-raid siren and goes into full bok-mode when she loses sight of her sisters. I think the neighbours would complain to the Council if I started doing that!

Now why didn’t I think if that for a roost bar?
I am such an idiot spending time fixing bits of scrap lumber together when I could have done that.

Hattie and Betty Meet

Hattie and Betty just had a "get to know each other" moment at the door a few minutes ago. It seemed to go very well.

I daresay, I think you you might successfully integrate a single hen successfully!

I'm defiantly doing some of my own improvements like a different roof, I'm not using OSB boards and im going to stain or paint it a better color
