I know.Awww… Mal.![]()
Haha! I can picture it!Whereas Nyssa winds up like an air-raid siren and goes into full bok-mode when she loses sight of her sisters. I think the neighbours would complain to the Council if I started doing that!![]()
im still going to build a smaller coop but it will be extra safe like this oneThis week be a really nice coop for you. Way better than that cheap prefab. Excellent decision.

The big girls have made it through weather this cold before in the big coop. It is too cold for a frizzle for sure.
One learns to dress appropriately when one works in remote northern AB work locations where it gets to -45CNo such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing as my husband keeps telling me!
Not like I wear inappropriate clothing by the waybut he wasn’t best impressed when I wore my labutins to the westonbirt arboretum
he could of told me it was a forest!
That’s PDC ! (Pretty darn cold). Wear the. Boots!
I really worry about my silkies one is a frizzle, bit they seems ok, the barn is about -10C at is coldest past few weeks, at night they stay in the hen house where it's around or just above the freezing point (0C or 32F). They seem ok, my fizzle has decided it's time to go broody, so i am letting her sit on n a cozy warm nest box, her sister is thinking about being broody so the two hang out esp at night in that nest box snuggled together they look so darn cute together, but for practicality it's good they are together for warmth.I think that might be worse. After all they have decided to sleep separately for a reason (I have no idea what). She will be plenty warm enough in the garage. I have a small heater in there to stop the pipes freezing. Looks like it keeps the top of her dog crate at about 38F. Now I am worrying about her adjustment down to 10F in the morning!
