Haha, but everyone here has been so great for me to learn from!
The bottom would need stabilizing against wind pushing it. Like a stick rotating on a nail up by the hinge on the access side and a brick on the ground on the other, or both sides with bricks or something moveable.
I don't do precision well, but I can tie, tape, bungee, nail badly & generally cob together stuff lying around with the best of 'em

There’s all this yellow gunk in her throat that the vet has identified as thrush. She had antibiotic injections
For six weeks that would have exacerbated it. She’s still got mucky ears, which are hard to clean.

I didn’t realise you could get anti-fungal antibiotics!

I remembered the antibiotics.
Thrush is the same yeast (aka fungus) as sour crop and for that you can treat with an antifungal intended for human use. In many countries (I think also Australia) the women's health aisle of the pharmacy will have over the counter topical antifungals to treat vaginal thrush.
I have never had to do so but searching on BYC you will see that folk use those for sour crop in chickens. If it is safe for sour crop it will be safe for oral thrush.

Some type of infection. Really bad beak breath sneezing and coughing too. Lots of gunk in her throat as well

That would also work and you are right. People talk about using it all the time for sour crop.
