Really good idea!

This is my favourite tactic when roosting strays into the violent zone.
Sometimes technology is bad 🙂

For instance in my case too easy to log on my barns cams and see escaped horses at 2am, do I go to the barn to put the horse back in its stall? Nope not anymore!

But if I see Fluffy McNugget has fallen off the roost at midnight, do I go make sure she is ok? Yup! Cameras, good and bad .

If it weren’t for Arizona laying such delicious eggs, I would lock her up and throw away the key! She’s not listening to me tonight. She just wants to peck her feed, sip her water, and then more feed. I put her on her perch in the chickens room, but she keeps flying down to attack the feed dish. (Come on Arizona, time for bed!)

If it were up to my insanity, I would have all the chickens in my chickens room! (But what a noisy mess) !

They are just establishing social norms. When we start a new team we sit around discussing our Myers-Briggs profiles or our personal development goals. They throw pecks around until everyone agrees who the team leader is.
We call it 'forming, storming, norming, and performing'. 😊

They will figure it out, and one day Betty will be picking on some other new/lower hen or chick 😁

You know, you can always build a hen house attached to your home, with a window you can look in on them - better than a webcam!
Even out here in the boondocks, there are still rules regarding building along side my house. I’m lucky to have such a big barn coop here in this town
