Hattie leaves the coop complex

Hattie has not really gone beyond the brick pavers surrounding the coop complex since Sylvie was killed by the hawk. Today I was able to get her out to the corner of the pool for a minute or two. She is so clearly uncomfortable it is painful to watch. Here she is, out in the open. She only stayed a minute and then went back to the coop complex.

I just love the look of barred rocks. She is a spectacular red right now.

Awww, Hattie. It’s good to see her out, but yes, she looks to be on high alert.

Poor wee lass, hopefully by summer she will regain confidence.
