You know, @BY Bob , if you were able to kind of 'green screen' the background of this picture, it would make an absolutely wonderful print of Daisy with her spaghetti! It has such wonderful black & white texture....with the red comb & wattle juxtaposing the B & W

I was playing with filters when I did that. It's amazing what these phones can do. I may try to do something with the background. I like that idea.

I was absolutely horrified with my two youngsters fighting, I do not know how anyone can watch for sport.

Of course today the two of them are back to being best buds....

I had to break up a fight earlier. Our red cochin rooster, Stupid, challenged our dominant rooster again. One day I won't be out there to save his dumb butt.

I made the decision to process the three of them, my poor wee Silkies are too small to deal with Pangoo so made the hard decision....

Just lovely. This winter I sat down on the ground in my run and seven of my birds gathered around and had a preening party on and around me. I could see the little pieces of their feather casings dropping onto my outstretched legs.
It felt like communing with chickens. We all alerted together to unexpected noises.
What was that? Oh, some snow fell off a tree.
What was that? Oh, a raven's wings as it flew by.
What was that? Oh, the tarp flapping in a sudden breeze.
I felt like this was the closest I have experienced so far of what it would be like to be part of a flock.
I wanted to take a picture, but felt it would ruin the mood and besides Ruth was standing on my hand!

I just love those moments.

I've had no success at all in finding calcium supplements here that is not full of zinc fillers,sweeteners and flavourings. Chewy is not an option so I got really brain drained last night searching. They have taken off the original "tums" people left messages too the company but it seems the company are just ignoring what people want too order or pay for.

Would you please let me know the antibiotics you use for for infections. I'm wondering if a human course could be used in minute doses because it is insisted that we use vets, which I do not have access to plus I'm hearing bad thing's on the ordinary cat/dog vets . I think I would trust my doctor a lot more

Amazingly my silkie roo is a tough old goat but I have segregated the silkies from the others except to free range.
