Blast from the Past:
@micstrachan I hope you used this to your advantage: Projects are always a good excuse for more or better tools!!!
Yes, I did get that tool and it kicks butt! I ended up gouging my eyeball during the brush removal project, but fully recovered. Getting rid of that crazy amount of brush made a huge difference in the rat situation.

I leave it alone. It comes and goes. I think it is like dry skin. They don't like me messing with their combs. Daisy, the greatest hen ever, especially did not like having this beauty of a comb messed with so I learned to respect her wishes.

Oh, I have to get that tattooed on my neck! I’m kidding:old
Kiss a fish! :tongue
There was an Aussie guy who had a fishing show in the 80s/90s, called Rex Hunt I think. He would always kiss the fish he caught before throwing them back.

You always have to lower the tone

Has she got a water infection?
I'm sorry I don't understand. What do you mean by water infection?

You may have missed it but apparently Lilly had a colon infection. 2 trips to the vet and 2 doses of antibiotics and she seems to be all better. :D

Twofer Tuesday!

Why on earth are the chickens on a trailer full of nasty spikey wood? Because I was unloading it… sometimes I worry I might be getting a little large on the burn pile. DH said “that is THE LAST load you are putting on that until we light it!” As you can see I’m still making it bigger here… I don’t thing he realized just how much junk I got on that trailer!View attachment 3018846
Of course I had even more help, the whole way through unloading… the only reason you don’t see 60 some odd chickens in that shot above is they all followed me away from the trailer “the human is walking towards the treat bucket!!! Better than junk wood scavenging, quick follow her!”View attachment 3018848
It’s frustrating trying to unload with so many helpers trying to get underfoot. I need to get enough wood on this one to actually melt the glass and metal down decently, my last attempt yielded junk like this… if at first you don’t succeed, add more wood, gasoline, and try again! This is going to be some fire when you light it up. 🔥

I don't like when they are underfoot when I'm working with lumber like that. I'm always scared I'm going to crush one of them.

Forgive me for I have sinned. :bow Arizona was waiting for me on the porch, while I was gone. I think I woke her up, when I brought her inside with me. (I think maybe she is angry, or at least annoyed at me) for leaving her alone in my absence.:old:idunno
(Am I thinking too much into this?)
