Yep my two silkies are getting feathers in that we're missing from breeding and broodiness. Can't wait to see them fully feathered again

Bought some feather fixer feed for our silkie girls today. Poor Itty Bitty is bald on her back so we isolated her from the rooster.

@RoyalChick A little while ago you posted pics of your 'new' oysters shell and grit dispensers. They were metal 'boxes' with opening at the bottom. How much do they hold, and where did you get them?

I am presently using multiple dispensers (for Oystershell: 5; 2 hold about 1 c each, 3 hold about 1.5 c each) I need something larger, as they clean mine out DAILY. (now that the spring lay is starting & my late hatchers are laying as well).

I don't think mine are any bigger than that. I get them on ebay - they are repurposed old match box holders.
If you go that direction you need to look to see if they have a hole in the side so you could strike the match on the side of the box through the container. If so, I just insert a bit of aluminum or cardboard to block the hole - but it is obviously easier if it is the kind without a hole.
Here is the picture of my 'buffet line (eggshell, grit, oyster shell) and a couple of ebay links.
My original (and much cheaper) plan was to screw a few plastic food containers to the wall, but I got overtaken by the cuteness factor of the matchbox holders!
