Wow, he's not so little anymore! What a handsome boy...I love the random flecks of red on him...so adorable (if a 'strapping young roo' can be adorable!)
I think you won! Looks like a Headlock move to me! (I think she also won, too...cheeky snuggle in the arm-pit move, lol)Chicken wrestling View attachment 3024886
Update: chickens are all safely in the coop. (Sadly, I have to leave them locked up tomorrow.) for I will be out of town.I’m very tired of chasing chickens now. The power company is doing an upgrade to the power lines on property. (Didn’t know that the tree trimmers were coming today) I just don’t want my chickens to leave the gate, and end up on the highway! View attachment 3025094
That would be a good time to hang a couple of apples and a cabbage. (don't cut the apples up, just hang them whole) It will give them a full day of boredom to finally decide that the apples aren't poison..and to check them out (plus will give them something to think about & do...occupy both mind and - for a short time - body!!!)Update: chickens are all safely in the coop. (Sadly, I have to leave them locked up tomorrow.) for I will be out of town.Trust me, they hate not being able to free range, and usually spill their food and tear the coop and run up. (Every time)

My husband is seriously gluten intolerant, started about 10 years ago. I have done gluten free diets on and off since childhood in an attempt to minimize my autoimmune issues. Once we couldn't have it in the house anymore it was best for me to be gluten free too.Decent point. I dated someone with full blow cow milk allergies, and I’m highly intolerant… makes me really sick, but not Epi pen allergic. I was dairy free completely for well over a decade, I preferred no dairy to fake dairy. I would rather have coffee and tea black than put almond milk in it (this was before the oat milk was around and it was almond or soy. I won’t even go into the ethical problems with the products either… like deer shot in the fields and not used for meat, all the animals killed by the planting and harvesting process, the transport of trucks full of bees to pollinate the monocultures that have left the surrounding areas so barren that nothing can thrive. Allergies are a reasonable reason, I suppose, and you can also be allergic to some meats, particularly beef (but usually not bison…)
Gluten free is much harder, and I do really respect vegetarians and vegans who commit and manage a well balanced complete diet. I’m not anti veg, just do it realistically and in a healthy way. If you don’t mind my asking, is it a personal lifestyle choice (Keto diet etc), an intolerance (pretty common), allergy, or full blown celiac for you? I worked with someone who was celiac and eventually had to quit working at our grocery store and move to a pharmacy as the airborne gluten from the bakery department was causing her severe reactions (hives and swelling of her throat).
Tax: I’m running out of photos… the weather has been crummy for us and the chickens have been avoiding photo ops because of it. So this will have to do! And sorry Bob, it’s one of my favourite soapboxes, as we all know… View attachment 3024229
