You are very sweet but Sydney has not developed into the lap chicken which it seemed she would at one point. She is freindly but definitely a no touch lady. That's OK because it is her choice what our relationship will be.I’m working on Shenandoah, to be more like Bob’s Sydney. I don’t think that it’s even possible to train her to that level. But I’d be happy with another lap chicken.
No worries. You can always enjoy everyone else's. There is always 2fer Tuesday. So I would love to provide you with some Mug shots… but we’ve been hit with some torrential rain and it’s not looking very likely, maybe I’ll get something when I head out to refill the feeders, most everyone is either already up (about 3 hours sooner than usual!) or hiding under a vehicle somewhere, waiting for enough of a break in the rain to make it back to the coop.
You can come visit and repaint my barn also if u likeYup. Not good. So I will redo them when it warms up. I need to add one for Betty anyway.![]()
That photo of Ned is from 3/9, 5 days ago. He is such an amazing rooster. And very handsome. Is that a recent Ned pic? He's gown into quite the handsome king of the coop!
Come July, Ned will be 2. He's all grown up and has a lot of responsibility.Wow, he's not so little anymore! What a handsome boy...I love the random flecks of red on him...so adorable (if a 'strapping young roo' can be adorable!)
I like this idea. You need to entertain them so they don't wreck the joint. That would be a good time to hang a couple of apples and a cabbage. (don't cut the apples up, just hang them whole) It will give them a full day of boredom to finally decide that the apples aren't poison..and to check them out (plus will give them something to think about & do...occupy both mind and - for a short time - body!!!)
Here it's buttercup and the two silkies who are the lap clucks. Tho right now Fluffy is very uncomfortable with her new FeathersYou are very sweet but Sydney has not developed into the lap chicken which it seemed she would at one point. Think I will do what @bgmathteach suggested with hanging the apple...I like this idea. You need to entertain them so they don't wreck the joint.
