Happy Thursday Everyone!

I'm slowly getting back into the thread... so the biggest news is that, we added two more feather friends into the "flock".

By feather friends, I mean cockatiels. In February, we adopted Buffy (female gray cockatiel). Then a week later, we decided to adopt Ozzy (male white-faced cockatiel), who was her cagemate prior to us adopting her. I was happy to be able to reunite them and I knew instantly that I made the right decision in keeping them together

This photo sums up how Kiko feels about the new "flock members" in the family She seems very unbothered by them and doesn't really pay much attention to them.

Gizmo on the other hand, is very entranced by them! He spends lots of time just watching them. Buffy seems very interested in him too!

How wonderful! Birds like cockatiel form life time attachments. So glad you could keep them together

Welcome to the “Open Mouth To Change Feet” club, of which I am president.

I might be the vice president, I accidentally mumbled a curse word on a conference call recently. I really shouldn't think out loud.

I could have sworn I got more pictures today… but apparently not… I’ve been butchering my roof trusses the last few days in preparation for keeping the water out of our house… first order of business was stripping the gangnails off the top gable end truss this morning and convincing DH to help me flip it over before he went to work so I could do the other side as well. I absolutely need help to lift the two 33’ end trusses as they are made with a ton more lumber than all the rest. At least 2/3 heavier is my best guess. I then texted BIL and convinced him to come help me move the second in the afternoon. I unloaded the 4 trusses cut in half (for 8 pieces) down at the house after lunch. I had loaded them onto the trailer yesterday. I got the two end trusses turned into four and down to the build site. Of course I had lots of help the entire time… they just weren’t able to really lift anything or drive any nails, but they made sure I did a good job and kept me lots of company. Looks like too many superintendents working that construction job

Been cold and miserable so long....

And just like that, it's spring! And I heard Robins calling all over the place . It was +19 today, and still+17 now, I let the gals out for and hour and they decided that my neighbours back yard was a nice place to visit! I snuck over and quickly chased them back home hahaha.

Even the horses got in on the craziness, running, bucking and acting like they were 2 and not in their 20s

Not really. I just wanted the same kind as my Americana “Canna” RIP I loved that bird.
