Send a letter/email to Hawaiian state government thanking them for legalizing the removal of your primary reason for playing tourist there. As a result of their decision, you will be putting your tourist dollars into the Florida economy watching the wild chickens there instead.
I didn't know they have wild chickens in Florida too 😯. I hope they don't follow suit. Chickens can't do enough halm to warrant it.

Thank you (as she sits there drooling!). It doesn't have Polish or Marans curiously. I must say, much as I love the black glossy feathers with the green and purple sheen - the black comb (like Ayam Cemani just look scary to me!
Does the Polish come in all black? I thought it was white crested black.... and I think the Marans has the copper rather than 100% black (officially anyway)...not a Marans expert though, and not going to bug our expert on this one.

Roosting Tonight

I have been interested in how Roosting has been working these days for some time. Tonight I got video. Everything starts with Lilly, Hattie and Sydney roster in the Main Coop.

I recorded as Betty and Sydney went to roost. This first video shows Phyllis of all hens entering the big coop. She left the Hut and came over when Betty wanted to go to bed.

At the end of the video you saw Betty get down on her own. She left and went to roost with Phyllis. Well the welcome she received was not friendly. It was rough enough that Betty hid in the nest box to escape Phyllis' pecking. After it got a little darker, Betty fled the Cluckle Hut and went to the main coop.

I can't feel sorry for Phyllis. She is sleeping alone because of her own actions.

What she found in the Main Coop was Hattie and Lilly on the Main Roost, Aurora up high and Sydney on the main roost, as she had just gotten down and had a snack. Betty will need to dodge Sydney as Sydney does not like her.

Watch Betty roost.

She is one smart lady.

Poor Betty, she really wants to be with Phyllis at night...but Phyllis isn't accommodating. :(

I just had my silkie cross Roos processed and the meat is very dark along with the skin. I gave them to my aunt as I won't eat them, I raised them and they were my pets ☹️

But I am not opposed to others getting enjoyment from them, my aunt commented on how dark the carcass was.... That's the silkie in them.
I did not know that. Interesting.
