Measure twice cut twice, three maybe four times 😔

Measure twice drill d@mn hole in the wrong spot... What is that line? Ooops wrong line, so measurement was correct just the incorrect spot to actually measure from!!!!

Also try not to drill a Phillips head bit through your finger, and finally when using a chisel and hammer, put your glasses on and don't smack your finger you tried to drill the Phillips through....

Once that new door latch is on the door, make sure the handles actually work before you go in the feed room and shut the door. Lucky I had that Phillips drill bit on hand to take that handle off šŸ˜‰

Phew! Should have called Kris to pop over and help!

Ok chicken tax for being a ding-a-ling!

That sounds on par with my construction experience. As long as I don’t measure things or try to math I’m good really. Apparently the 14ā€ and a bit doesn’t help DH decipher what I’m meaning or 14ā€ less a little. And the thingiemagiggy isn’t what that tool is called! 🤣 at least I’m fun to work with when I’m not swearing up a storm… and FYI Robertson bits can be just as bad when they slip and try to go through your finger. I still haven’t forgiven DH for that one!

It's Sunday and Pony Pics Day (?) Has everyone seen the story about the goat that is friends with the horse in British Columbia and rides on top? For Mrs @BY Bob and @Kris5902 especially...Here's one story about them. I also read elsewhere the goat may be able to direct the horse where it wants to go. Also that the goat tried another horse on the farm but that horse wasn't having any of it!
Mrs BY Bob just loved this! Thanks for posting it.

Adorable!

Miserable day today started with snow, which melted around noon when the sun came out but the wind picked up and was fierce all day. It didn't get warmer then 4C (39F) so the sun was completely useless.

Add in a vicious migraine and it made for a grumpy day...

Around 3:30 I called it quits and called the horses in and managed to get this action shot. The highlight of the day....

Can't wait for the sun to go down, and the wind settles down.
Amazing. They cone when you call? I love that.

What to do with my roo? Jaffar tries really hard to mate the nine ladies of his, but he always misses the mark!
Funny to watch when he runs across the yard, for a squatting female. But he’s usually running too fast, and ends up skipping right over her (then his beak ends up planted in the dirt) :thOh brother!
Oh my gosh that’s funny, Alex!

I'm pretty certain my apple trees survived it. They had not put anything out yet but I am getting concerned about the butterfly bushes. They are completely dead looking right now.

They are pretty hardy, my neighbours look bad a few years ago but it finally put out lovely flowers.

I did notice our big maple has started to leaf out, but they are really hardy so not worried.

My apple trees haven't started flower buds yet so they should be ok.
While we are on the topic of trees and flowers… (boy have I got a lot of catching up, eh?) the last upright on the Dogwood torn apart by our last Bad storm has come down. I am planning on taking some cuttings from it though, to see if we can maybe keep a part of it alive. It is going to be a very long time before anything I take reaches the size or beauty of the former second largest Dogwood in the Province… but at least it will sort of live on.
