this one adopted me and had been my shoulder baby since she was four days old. Started on a couch, now she’ll “fly” to me to get on my arms and up my shoulder. She’s a great helper!

until she moves to my head :lau

Just wait until she gets bigger and does that… then poops in your hair! And yet, we still love them… unless it’s a cecal poop 🤣

She’s not allowed in my hair, but I have had that whole “Hm.. my back is wet..” then I realize it’s poop. She’s a great shoulder friend and just plops down. I have to grab her to put her away. learned that the hard way, after she crawled down my back and clung onto my pants! i didn’t intend to have a chicken, or her specifically, but now we’re stuck together. bonded by poop.

Haha it's all good till they poop on your head 💖

Haven't seen you here abouts before, welcome. We are a chatty bunch who adore our chooks.

Does your Chickie have any friends?

The kids are finally home, now it’s my turn to get home. I made the mistake of petting Jaffar’s waddles, before all the hens were up to roost. He bites me when my timing is off. (I did get him to stop and allow me to do the rubbing though)
Jaffar still rules 🤗

I do miss my boys but so much less drama here.

i frequent the duck page, but got adopted by that chickie (Brienne).

She has 4 sisters from her clutch and 2 baby sisters! She’s always been the “mommy”. we bonded because she had a completely/near complete blind sister. her and that girl were bonded, always cuddled, etc. when she started doing poorly, I took brienne to keep her company, so we spent time cuddling on the couch while I syringed food into her blind sister. It turns out, brienne herself is partially sighted. She needs some birdy glasses :p! thats when our relationship started. I was just sitting on the couch, them on a heating pad, when she gets up and runs up my arm, then nests down under my hair. Now, without fail, she runs up to me and gets head scratches. She plays “peekaboo” and will stick her head under my hand/into a hole I make with my fingers. She’s lost her two closest sisters, and I think we’re both kind of tired of it.

now that She’s around 2 weeks, she’s got a wild amount of feathers. When she sees me she stares, sizes me up, and decides if she can “fly” the distance to land on my arm. i just put my hand out instead of this, though. I’m not a fan of the flying at me (formerly scared of chickens). so, yes. My romp into chickens on accident has been quite tiring and i definitely appreciate chicken raisers so much more lol.

I’ll attach some pics of her and her sisters
