My three babies playing at being grown up roosting on their little branch.
Those of you who have been following Bernadette’s issues in my separate thread in the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries forum know what a huge milestone this is for her.

My heart is full.

I'm so happy to read that she is improving. It sounds like even if she is never 100% right, the injury happened while she was young enough to adapt.

Today has been one of those days that I'm grateful I have the chickens and horses as a distraction. They kept me from fully loosing my temper several times. Grandma's appointment with the neurologist did NOT go the way she wanted it to go and he told her some things she did not want to hear. She started it off by arguing that she almost had a stroke, and he corrected her and told her that she DID have one. He also told her that the full side effects of stroke can take up to 6 months to become apparent. She told him she was going home, he told her it was either stay with us or a nursing home. She has to go back in 3 months for a memory test, she's refusing. To make her happy afterwards we took her to the grocery store, while in there she blew up and said she was not staying any longer. I lost it, and told her to tell me which nursing home to call then. She stopped arguing, but has barely spoken to me or mom the rest of the evening.

It’s so frustrating for the whole family, having to help her out like that, but in my opinion, you all are doing an amazing job with all you are going through. There are undoubtedly going to be some good days and some bad days. I’m proud of you all. :hugs

Ive just got back into my drawing, I’ve found it’s my meditation.
Good for you! Unfortunately I have to do some intense work (related to my job) before I can go back to drawing. I really hope that I can share my chicken drawing on this forum one day.

This is Ginger, inquisitive freedom lover. The only chicken that is constantly fly over some spiky fence that we have... I believe she is the alpha hen.
