To the proper authorities: Alexander’s body can be found in the back yard, by the chicken coop. Warning, it’s a mess and he’s still covered with chooks.
RIP dear Alex 👻
Oh noooooo what did I always say??!!

Don't fall down they will peek your eyes out and eat your brain!!! 😮😮😮

Oh poor Alex, poor poor Alex, what are we gonna tell Bob?

Run Alex run buddy!!!

We still haven’t got the sleeping arrangements optimal yet. The girls still aren’t letting themselves out in the morning, so when I opened the door this morning, there was poo all over everything on the shelf! The feed box, a clean towel and a cecal poop on the shelf itself! :sick
Ewwwww ya those are gruesome 😨

Well I worked on a 'man door' for the barns back door sliders. Need to run to Home Depot tomorrow for a new masonry drill bit, and a couple latches.

Struggled all day with a stye on my eye, very tender and made trying to see things difficult.

I had to take a break at one point and just sit in the sun with the gals - oh what a glorious day it turned out be weather wise 🤗

The ladies spent the whole day sunning themselves 😊

Only reason I'm on here is I'm taking a 5 minute coffee break. That is a funny mental image. We are trying, and everyone is helping but it feels like no matter how hard we try someone is suffering for it. The poor horses look neglected. Louis and Russ are in the middle of blowing their winter coats and unlike last year we have not had time to go daily and curry them for about a hour.
You all are in the early stages of figuring things out, go easy on yourself. I imagine you've been in what my family used to call "emergency mode" and there's lots of things up in the air. A certain amount of it will settle down, as you get more practice with the new routines. I will also say however you will get better at dealing with the disruptions. Carving out time for yourself and finding new ways to do that is very important. Is it improper to say you need to try to "curry" yourself too? :hugs
