BelladonnaStunning.![]()
Darker tones than Asphodel. Then there's Primula, crisp edges to the markings...
She's not a camera hog, so had to go back a couple of weeks

Yes the new cameras have two way sound. I have accidentally scared them several times by having the mike on and saying something.I think you piped in some boks!
The camera must have a two-way speaker/mic system?
They work wonders (For the chooks) integration, and obedience!I am not that fond of them TBH so I don't think they will help me decide what to do!

That is a good idea - but honestly I am not worried - they seem to spend all day scratching in the bedding and pecking away at what they find in there. Sometimes they dig all the way down to the plywood and you can hear them hammering away. So unless they are just pecking and not swallowing then I think they are eating plenty. I have taken to putting a handfull of food on one of the wood blocks they have to play on pretty much every time I walk in - so 3 times a day maybe - and they just sweep it off into the bedding an go scratching for it!Contrafreeloading. Chickens want to work for their food. It's their nature to scratch to find food. There is nothing wrong with them eating in that fashion. If you are really worried check their craws at night.
They are all really beautiful - I love the feather markings.BelladonnaView attachment 3094437

The Hooligans are not massively interested in them yet. Though Bella did catch a gnatt that made the mistake of flying into the brooder area! They work wonders (For the chooks) integration, and obedience!

Here's hoping she gives you a big chomp!Dotty seemed to perk up later in the day and seemed like her normal self by night. Hopefully it was just a one-off thing.
I will observe her closely tomorrow. I need to do some tidying up in the Chicken Palace tomorrow so if she bites me I will be much reassured!
