2 more years....his hatchday is end of May, putting him (and PITA, Blanche, Thing, Twirp, Cuckoo, Jess, and Nellie) at a year old then. Pear will be 2 tag end of July, and Silver is 3 this spring. Storm won't be a year until mid July. Thanks to the fox, Buster (Silver hatchmate) and most of Pear's hatchmates got eaten. Rusty was a hatchmates and went with the dog. At this point, I need roosters to survive. Cheetah is such a little guy, theres promise in his agility. One day at a time. One day closer to past the ding a ling stage...
Sorry, I thought he was about 1.5, not < 1 :( Depends on the Roo, some are okay their 2nd spring, some need the 3rd spring....as Spring is when they are at their worst....hormones get the best of them in the spring in particular.

You want Fluffy, I'll give you angry broody fluffy. Bunny spent 30 minutes outside and then came tearing back in the house and straight to her spot. So the deed is done, she had to have a crate fixed so she could properly turn her eggs but she now has 3 tucked under her. I initially was going to give her 3 of her own eggs, but I thought I would have a few more days to collect them before she got serious. I was wrong so she has her egg from yesterday and todays eggs from Holly and Corona.

It can be from multiple things. Seems heat (was it on a particularly warm day you saw it on Maggie?), respiratory stress, illness, etc. This is very basic, but covers most of the bases. I'll look for something more advanced/scientific. (probably will have to pay SHRA taxes...I'm a bit behind...)
I need to go examine closely. It is not her whole comb. It is a round patch maybe an inch across that sometimes looks a bit purple
Before the Chicken Palace was built she got frostbite and I always assumed it was some damage left over from then. But I need to study it more and document when it appears.

Is she doing that “chuk, chuk, chuk, broody noise?

My test yesterday was still very positive and I still have symptoms. Slooowly improving, though. I can go back to the office Monday. Working while sick was quite difficult, as actually. I’m looking forward to feeling good again!
