Just got home from our first “market” of the season, the unofficial Valley Garage Sale. Better than expected showing with a gross of a little over $500 in about three hours. It was also a great dry run for two weeks from now, as the iPad wasn’t cooperative, the battery was dead, it wouldn’t connect to my hotspot, we have to completely re-print our signage, we need a new tablecloth for the market, tongs for the BBQ, and apparently a WHOLE lot more sausage! I also need to source a small child to hawk lemonade and the friendship bracelets I make… for some reason the kids just sell them better.

Here is the one who I have been the most confident was a female all along.

Here is the other one who has a redder comb.

To me their legs all look the same.
Well, it, may be the the angle/distance, but the bottom chick's legs look thicker. Again, though, there is a difference in the distance (hence perspective) between the top and bottom pics. (again, comb and wattles say 'girl' to me though)

Kris, you need to come join our church. You seem to be the spark plug in that engine! We lost our motivator and you could fit right in! :old :hugs

Bacon was a bit too heavy for them. They have been lazily lying around here today.
I wonder what I could do to make my chooks happy today? Due to wind conditions, my plans have changed (so I’m staying home with the family 🐔) maybe I will cook up some bacon (We all like bacon):D :drool

I think she has fallen for them, she is extremely worried about the comb color, and she is just the type of person that if she is buying something she wants it to be exactly what she is paying for. She wanted Cinnamon Queens and expected to have Cinnamon Queens.
Reassure her: rose combs pink up really early. Wattle development is the big indicator re: cockerel vs pullet. At 11 weeks, if they were cockerels, they would have NOTICABLE wattles (and a good beginning on comb too).

This is Cheetah, dated August 25, 2021. Puts him at 13 weeks, day or 2 after Rusty was killed. Rose comb and wattles

Get them bonded with him and he with them. Then they'll follow him around and inspect whatever project he's working on outside. Looks like the process is well started.
