Yes. And I am glad I happened to be able to see it as I have been quite worried about how it would play out.
All in all it wasn't too awful (Dotty might disagree).
So now I can go back to worrying about Bernadette’s foot, Maggie’s diarrhea, that I haven’t had an egg in 10 days, and how to adapt the Chicken Palace for a special needs chicken.
Lord that makes me tired just listing it all!

So, I had a hard time keeping this for today. (My hubby says I'm like a little kid!)
A colleague at work has had some hard times these past few years, and I often give her eggs...and she has a sweet son who loves baby ducks and chickens....he came last year to see them.. and I invited them again since I have some now. They showed up with this gift wrapped:

The only reason she had it with her is because she had just finished with physical therapy which leaves her tired. She thought she outsmarted us yesterday. She had to go have bloodwork done and we needed to stop in at wal-mart. We told her her therapy appointment was between 1:30 and 2 so we could not be out all day. We get to wal-mart for just a few things at 12:30, she gets in the power cart and disappears. By the time we track her down, wait in line for the checkout that has a worker as she refused the faster self checkout and get home it is 2:15. She gets inside and sits down and claims she guessed she missed her therapy appointment so she was taking a nap. Mom smugly told her nope she was just in time, they were showing up at 3.

One of my favorite hens Daisy is sick. After laying for a month she stopped again. I noticed yesterday she looked a little puffy from behind but not enough to alarm me. This evening even when buns were distributed she showed very little interest in them. I went and picked her up and she has a softball sized swelling in her abdomen and butt. When she stands she is not holding her tail up so she is also painful. The swelling is hot to the touch. As soon as we get Rosie's birthday dinner over we are bringing her in for a epsom salt soak. I reached out to my vet who told me he could work on chickens but was told he could not do anything and recommended either taking her 3 hours away to lexington or euthanizing her. I have been terrified I am going to loose her to reproductive issues after she laid that huge egg last summer that gave her so much trouble.

Yes to both. He is one of 2 puzzlers. I suppose this is really good odds, (They were all supposed to be pullets.)
