I understand, not a day goes by that I don't think about my dad. I push the cancer patient out of my mind and remember the guy that thought it was funny to try to put a snake on me 🤣
🤗 Yep hard at times but yes I still talk and ask 'what do you think'. Of course I always answer in my favour now (yes do it that way, or yes looks great) hahaha 💖

Honestly, I'm surprised that Hattie & Sydney don't get along better/aren't chummy. I sort of feel like Hattie is running solo now, poor dear. And she is such a sweetie. 😢
It is hard. It always seems like I have one that is off on its own. I feel like I will be chasing this forever. I worry that I will never be able create a fully functioning tribe. This is one of the reasons why I was questing to find Phyllis a friend.

Introducing the current residents of Fluffy Butt Acres

As you can see from the front of the coop, we currently have 4 residents. Patsy, Lilly, Hattie & Jabber.

Patsy & Lilly have been here the longest and we ar enot really certain what kind of birds they are but they are likely Black Sex Links. Hattie and Jabber have just joined the flock this summer as they were chicks we got back in April. Here are their individual photos.

Patsy
She is our alpha hen and is extremely friendly. While not a big fan of being picked up she comes right up to you and will talk and visit.

Lilly is currently #2 in the pecking order and intends to stay there. She has become our little enforcer and she defends the flock from such terrors as squirrels, rabbits, doves, and most importantly, ducks.

More to come on our newbies.
Lol I love this thread

I admit I was a bit surprised, but live, dirty food appears to be enticing enough to risk death. :lau

A couple of them even let me pick them up to bring them back inside without going into a frenzy. The other two, not so much. Little by little...
It is a windup process earning their trust. Enjoy the journey. 🥰

Late Two 4 Tuesday submission

Had the veterinarian out to see my old horse Sally who has COPD. Note: do not try to shove a Ventolin puffer in your horses nostril and expect it to react nicely to the spray up the nose 😲😲😲

Anywhoooo my Vet gave me oral GAP (guaifenesin, albuterol and prednisone) which went over much better 😆

Wonderful! 🥰

I am like that with my dad, I just pretend that he is either in AZ in the winter with mum, or at work, or in Newfoundland with mum during the summer. Compete denial, otherwise I would bawl and bawl and bawl.... My old stallion also, just cannot talk about him or think of him or look at pics of him without bawling...

Ok now I need to run away, sorry for being a Debbie Downer ☹️
Thanks for sharing. :hugs :hugs :hugs
