Viejo hangs around outside my kitchen door waiting for me to come out then he'll walk over to the container of wild bird seed. He has me trained quite well.

Got horses and chickies all running at me hahaha

At least the chickens don't hurt when the run me over,!!

I have heard quite a few people lately ranting on how much harder and harder it is to fix your own cars, particularly with hybrid vehicles. Many years ago when I learned about the Amish community in the US I would not believe it, but in the recent 5 years I have generated massive respect for them and it made so much sense to me that they want to stick with their buggy.

The older I grew, the more I admire old-fashioned hand tools and food preparation methods, which are often better for your health and the environment. (for example, why do we need toxic non-stick pans when cast iron pans are so awesome?)

Whether there is an agenda behind it or not, people have become less self-sustainable. This is why I wanted to have chickens (see this post is chicken related I will however post a chicken picture nonetheless), but my gosh I did not realize they are the sweetest creatures too.

Yep if I had known how much fun chickens where I would have got rid of the horses long ago and just kept chickens!!

Re: cast iron frying pan - to make non stick, coat with grease and bake in the oven... Makes frying eggs non stick easy!!

I have 2 dogs, brother and sister who will run around and get in front of me then drop and roll on to their backs. One day their requests for a belly rub is gonna cause me to break my neck

No new news since last night. She continues distended - I think a bit less but that may be wishful thinking. She continues to smell like a brewery and when I massage I can hear the bubbles. She has good color and has some energy.
I am going to let her out of confinement for a few hours this afternoon - I think it is important for her mental health but I am quite worried she will pig out and will make her problem worse. The miconazole treatment isn't too hard to give but it has to go on for a full week twice a day so that will get old for both of us pretty fast!

Getting out and about is also good for her circulation, and will help with the antifungal.

Is she pooping ok?

OMG yes! The gals do that to me too! I stepped on poor Dorothy's foot last night she sqwacked, I screamed .... Chickens ran everywhere.... Hahaha.

At least can't trip over the horses

I really wanted to put Chaco in my pocket and take her over to my house today, but we all know that is impossible!

All animals are like us humans, some days we feel good, others not so much...

Today I feel like crap, of course I haven't taken my pain meds and now regretting it as it takes twice as likely ng for the to take effect of not taken regularly...

And it's windy as heck and chilly. I sat on the lawn chair in the sun watching the gals and next thing fell asleep. Awoke with my back screaming pain and the hens laying down around me also snoozing . I didn't want too move and disturb them, but I had to, I was too sore to sit. I had to move around.

It was too funny - they lifted their heads, looked at me then went back to snoozing hahaha.
