Winter eggy!

I opened the door to the hen house this afternoon and there was an egg on the ground! At first I thought it was Nyssa as it’s speckled, but then I looked again and thought it looked a bit smaller, and wondered if it was Snowy’s first egg.

I noted that my cousin's hens laid slightly smaller eggs after slowing down during the winter here.

It's very egg-citing to think it's a first egg though!

I am very happy with Ezzie's coloring. Yes I wanted buff so I got her momma who was supposed to be buff. She is not, she is a partridge herself, but looks buff. There is actually another color I was wanting besides buff and Ezzie is super close to it. There are red silkies. I'm looking at this as a situation of where I technically did not get what I wanted, I got what I needed and did not know I wanted. Color aside though, Ezzie is so bonded with me and people in general she could be rainbow colored for all I care and I could not love her any less.
