It’s 102f outside now. The chooks are under the porch. I have Xzit and Dakota inside with me. The rest of them, didn’t want to come inside. Yes (102f) in case you might have missed that.

That is scary hot!

They are all beautiful but the white leghorns are so sleek. They are just marvelous.

Everyone seems to be okay. They are all in the shade, and I turned on some water for them to soak their chickens feets.

I just checked. It’s now 104f gonna go check on the others.

It's all over the map here - cool then scorching hot and humid... Then cool again. Today was hot and humid... Tomorrow rain and Monday 18 and cool.

What's with the weather this year?

I was just out lying on the grass, hanging out with the new crowd, trying to get them to learn that they don't need to be afraid of me. Wouldn't you know it, my most curious and brave one, Rust, climbed up on my chest and deposited a nice juicy cecal on my shirt right by my face. Gee thanks.

I have the big box fan on the gals in their hen house. Even still they are panting and hot.
