If she's glued to the nest, hearing peeps can be difficultI don’t know what is up. Xzit is still setting, right now she’s eating her feed. No peeps at all.

I am only going on what you told me A couple weeks back. Are we sure about the timing on the egg?
Try 4....Here we go! Don’t ya know. What’s wrong with Coco? ….. broody is what I’m thinking, but I can’t have two Broody hens at the same time. (It would make me crazy)
OMGI'm remembering watching somebody catch and eat a poor frog last year. It crossed my mind it was pretty big compared to her beak to be getting down whole, but she did it. She was barely a year old then, 10 months? It took at least ten seconds and I don't think she was holding her breath. Took a lot of hitching back and perseverance. I wondered if I would need to pull it out but finally the feet went in, and with more hitching around - crop adjustment?- she she was quite satisfied with her catch. It was like watching Jurassic Park!![]()
YaaaaWhenever they swallow something alive I can’t help wondering how long it lives in the crop.
Is it still wiggling?

Xzit is talking to something. (And it’s not me) but I don’t hear any peepsAny Xzit egg update? It is a good thing I'm not there. It would be very hard for me to not reach under her and quickly remove to egg to feel for any sign of pipping. I'd also once again hold it up to my ear and gently tap the egg and listen to it before I gave it back to her. I can do this will all but 1 of my hens. We all know which hen I dare not try this on.
This is wonderful news then. If she's talking, that chick has internally pipped. You may not here any peeps until it is out so don't worry.Xzit is talking to something. (And it’s not me) but I don’t hear any peeps
